Borsh

The Albanian Riviera is full of splendid villages overlooking the Ionian Sea. Among these there is also Borsh, a reality of 2500 inhabitants located near the villages of Fterra, Piqeras and Qeparo, just two hours by car from the city of Vlora Borsh offers - in addition to a wonderful beach - numerous activities such as sailing, canoeing, kayaking and water skiing during the day, music (such as the South Outdoor Festival) and bonfires on the beach in the evening. Every year, more and more tourists choose this small village in southern Albania as a summer destination, attracted by spectacular beaches and hidden even more spectacular bays. This trend is contributing to the economic growth of Borsh, which - continuing in the future with these rhythms - will soon become one of the best tourist destinations in the whole country. Borsh beach The wild charm of this long beach made of small white pebbles has made it one of the most popular places in recent years. The sea offers splendid shades of blue and turquoise, while the entire landscape is surrounded by olive groves making it one of the most idyllic in the country. A mix of beauty and simple comforts. Furthermore, Borsh beach is the largest uninterrupted stretch of coast in Albania (about 5 km long). For years it has been frequented only by farmers in the 'famous' area for the production of oil; now, however, in the area there are numerous bars, restaurants and hotels which, thanks to their competitive prices, make the destination even more attractive. Borsh Castle For those who want to immerse themselves in culture and history, the green hills surrounding Borsh hide the village fortress, located about 500 meters above sea level and about 3 km from the center.  It dates back to the period from the third to the fourth century AD. and is also known as the castle of Sopot (name of the pass on which it is located). In the 5th and 6th centuries AD it was seriously damaged by the barbarian invasions; it was, in fact, later rebuilt during the Middle Ages.
